looks good so far although the black screen with the black text blocks make it difficult to read

where are you seeing black text ezra? it is white for me. maybe we can fix the problem for ya if you tell us exactly where you are seeing black text

I think its the block which the text is in which is black the text is fine, white on black is good :D

I don't know if I still qualify as a "newby" but I've only been here since early May. But I gotta say I really enjoy this site, the people here have made me feel at home. It is nice to be able to be myself and to know that my warped point of view won't be criticized to strenouly :laugh: . I thank you all for creating a place and an atmosphere that I can escape to right in my livingroom. :kickass: :kickass: :kickass:

on first glances this site looks very good with a nice layout, nice colours and seems to have a good following of people, so i hope that all goes well and makes this a bigger and better site, so that there will be a full range of topics to talk about.

Im finding this site really helpful, i dont know anyone who keeps fish so i need all the advice i can get and its delivering so i cant complain. The only thing we need is more members but i know it wont be long and this will be a top international fish forum. Great work guys.

No need to worry about more members as thats something that will happen quick, we have got 360+ in less then 6mths and you see other sites who have been around for 1yr and have 100 or less.

We try....I've been a member of quite a few on-line boards.....and I developed a few "pet peeves" of the moderators...one thing I noticed was that "over-moderation" can kill a forum...not that the mods shouldn't participate, but that they should interfere as little as possible with the life of the board...I feel that mods should only step in when NECESSARY and that disciplinary action should be the decision of the entire staff...and not just one power hungry mod/admins descion...

I'd like to think that this relaxed atmosphere has created the explosion in members that we've seen recently...but really, it's the member who make this board...not the admin....

I have been on a few forums myself, and even though it is just a forum there is nothing worse then people who make you feel like crap and un welcomed.

i love the colours very much but i just find it a bit difficult. i.e loggin in. i as the loggin in text box is black i have no idea where to put my username etc.....

Also, these message post boxes are also black as well as the up and down screen "cursers"

I'm really enjoying it here so far. Of course it makes it nicer that so many friends have already come before me, but I also feel much more comfortable about expressing my opinions here and not worring so much about watching every word I say. Some "other" forums have gotten really stuffy and dry. No fun at all. I really like all the new smilies to choose from, too. :lol: :jerry: :hug:

This is by far the best forum I've been to! So many awesome people with a good sense of humor, I love it :gay:

I do think I'm becoming obsessed with it already :whistle: ...I woke up at 3:00 p.m today (I stay up all night and sleep all day pretty much) and I did some stuff, then I came on here around 4:30 p.m, It's now 3:30 a.m and I'm still on it (I did take a break from the computer though, I played video games for a bit :laugh: )

I also like how the forum skin is a dark color...much easier on the eyes :wacko:

:laugh: yes i agree it does get addictive. As you probally know Gen chat and Rant room are my fav. Love getting to know the members and having a laugh with them. Its good to see people here are enjoyint them selves.

TFC has been great so far with all of you mods and admins helping us get use to our new enviroment. Your smilies are hilarious even though some of them may be unappropriate. The way TFC handle their sections is very organize with active members and mods everywhere. It's good to see we all share a common interest which by the way is?

LOL! You're right about the internet addicts. I told a friend of mine about my interests in fish and he was like "Dude get off the internet, you're addicted" which is too true :laugh:. Here is me in my spare time: Stare at the screen of TFC front page waiting for a reply :lol:
