Seen the Auratus bugging the large CAE tonight but i didnt think the CAE would put up such a great fight and it was that good that the aurttus backed away! swimming away into his cave but the CAE swam after him and keept on wanting to fight lol I put the net in and they stopped..stong little guys CAE's arnt they.

some of those bottom feeders can put up quite a fight. I had a blue loach (Botia modesta) win a fight with a midas I used to have. Of course the midas was only about 3-4" but still. I also currently have a Pimelodus blochii that's about 6" that is always bugging some of my larger cichlids and they usually back off.

:lol: Altho they can be stupidly tough! i had one a good 3" long that took on my 5: Barramundi. I figured size wise the CAE'd be safe... wrong!!! CAE bit Boof (my Barra) & Boof turned around & as his name says BOOF!!! Swalloed the CAE 2/3rds then chewed on it for awhile eventually downing the lot! It was one of the funniest things I've seen!!! :lol2:

Shame on your auratus, Vip! A CAE?? Maybe yours learned Wing Chun from Yip Man. I did have a blue botia take on a (non-breeding) pair of brichardi.
