Hmm, she looks rather pregnant. Is she in a br3eding cage? That might be stresing her out a bit.
How or why did the other one die do you know? It could help us understand and help your new pregnant mollie.

One of the sad things in livebeares is that it is not uncommon for them to die while giving birth, no matter what the dedicated owner can do for them. The problem is that many of the common livebearers available now is that they have a really baliistic gene pool due to the amount of cross breeding that wholesalers do with them to get various colour strains.
It is with this gene pool that some defectgs can take place, suche as the female producing too many embryos, not having a big enough womb and of course being less resistant to stress etc etc.
on all honesty she should be fine, but selecting the larger specimens in an lfs is a wise choice as A) they have most likely had a litter of fry and survived, and B ) The fish is more likely to survive the stress of giving birth

yeah, my daughter had a pregnant swordtail, when the male disappeared she held onto them, we got another male from the lfs and bang we had fry overnight. Might be an option to throw a male in there and see what happens, removing the male as soon as she pops. Just a thought I'm new to this stuff. :D
