All your average Livebearers(Guppys,Platys,Mollies, swordtails) Males are easily distinguished from females by the presence of a gonopodium, an anal fin modified into a point. while females have a more of a rounded anal fin

With guppies, its even easier since they are the really colorful beauties and the females aren't.

guppies- females have a black like spot toword the back of the abdoman and yes the males havea pointed fin unlike the females
platies- females get H U G E litteraly 2 times the size of males. or atleast my breedign pair ar like that.
mollies- no clue to be honest i dont keep them cuz they need salt
sword tails- males have a black extension in there tails

Guppies- the black spot you are referring to is called a gravid spot and darkens as the fry develop in the female's stomach.
Platies- males are necessarily so much large, it could just be your platies. Female platies have gravid spots also.
Mollies- female mollies have gravid spots too.
Swordtails- some females have small swords. Also, the sword isn't always black. It varies be strain. Females also have gravid spots.
Endlers- males are almost always way more colorful than females and female endlers also have gravid spots.
You can sex all of them by their anal fin. (well, you can sex all livebearers by their anal fin I believe, but not all of them have the same shapes to sex by). ex- males with their gonopodiums and females with their fan-shaped/rounded anal fins.

Endlers - The male is brightly colored and the female rarely has color except for the gravid spot, also Endler females are bigger than males.
