I woke up this morning to find my Jewel who was my first ever cichlid fighting for her life in the large tank. I dont know how she died but it seems she was attacked by the other fish as about 2 months or so ago we got her a mate witch turned out to be a male, they paired off and why I think she died is because she was defending her eggs but she didnt stand a chance againt some of the fish in there as somtimes the convicts would give her a hard time but nothing to rough. I still remember the first day when I brang her home, I plumped the bag down nxt to nici and the jewel wouldnt take her eyes off her lol and the jewel always seemed to like her as well. When I first brang her into the tank my pest of a gourami went upto her and picked on her she swung around and grabbed it by the lip, the gourami stood clear of her since that day. She was always a nice sight to see in the tank and I will miss her very much. I just wish I was there while she liad her eggs as I might of been able to save her.

That sucks man :(

I hate losing fish.

:crybaby: she was cute! I remember when Damian bought her home in the bag sitting on my desk she was just starring at me for ages. I told Damian to TRY and not get attached to fish as they are unpredictabe.
