Amazing Fish! How do you keep such great color on your tiger oscar. Was he bought that way and just stayed it or did his color become better and better. I would love for my oscar to have nice color like that when he gtes big, because most i see loose their color by then.

i was lucky enough to have the first bid on him, im friends with my lfs owner and he rang me one day knowing i wanted an oscar, he said i just came back from the whoesaler with some oscars i hand picked so i went down right away, this guy was one of the smaller ones in the tank but by far the best in color! i brought him at 2" and is now 11".

The red oscar is really the same story but when i went down there my g/f rang me yelling at me not to buy anymore fish blah blah blah even though she knew how bad i wanted a red oscar, anyway when she got home that day she had a box in her hands she gave it to me and gave me a kiss, i shook the box LOL cause i didnt know what it was she yelled and said nooooooooooo dont do that i opend it up and there was the red oscar that i was just about to buy, steve (the lfs owber) had told her witch one i had my eye on and thats how she knew witch one to buy.

Thats awesome, very cool of your g/f. :D Man i just bought one pretty small and he seemed to have the best color, right now he still seems to have great color, lets hope it lasts. Man i wish i had a friend that owned a lfs. Im jealous.
