Title: Black Spotted Gudgeon
Description: Yo dwarfs take a look dude

Oddball - June 14, 2005 09:11 PM (GMT)
In my lfs there are ten one ich long black spotted gudgeon. They dont know anything about them and nor do I. One thing i can say is that they are IDENTICAL in body structure to the morgunda morgunda that dwarfs loves. I wonder whether it is a closely related species or a colour morph

They are white with two eye spots down their flank and im tempted to get them

Incidently while im talking about gobies those candy stripes in the store have gone belly up, 2 of the big clowns ive bough have died, apparently they came from a really acid tank and mines alkaline, probably system shock.

Oops, it seems I've misread your original post and thought that these gudgeons were 10" each :o

They definately sound like some species of mogurnda. Disregard every other post I made on this thread and only read this one :P Mogurnda gudgeons range in size from 5-7", depending on species. All are freshwater, and will thrive at a neutral pH and a temp from 68-80 degrees :)

If I were you I would buy them.

Gudgeons are great to have.

the only worry is every tank has adult polypterids in, ill try them out with the weeksii as hes the smallest and most placid, the gobies are cheap enough £1.90 but i dont want em to be an expensive dinner?

and i expect pictures. How big is the weeksii?
