Title: Why Acei are one of my favorite fish

Not only do they have great color in the males, females are not too shabby looking either. They are also one of the more social fish I've kept, and have no fear of "man". I can literally get them to swim right into a net. :o Half the time when I'm trying to net out holding females of other species types, I end up with a acei or two in the net as well. Mine enjoy being fed by hand, but I have to watch out as they are splashers. If they are really excited and hungry they will sort of "tread" with their heads out of the water like a dolphin sort of.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my 4 year old male, probably my favorite fish of all time.

Have you kept any of the Acei types yet? If not you should. I've come across 3 different color morphs so far, but I like these Msuli the best.

I had one in my first attempt at an African tank in highschool...It did really well!(The Acei, not nescasarily my first cichlid tank :whistle1: ...I had to learn a lot of things the hard way...)...I eventually ended up selling my group for $75 when I left for college and put my Mom used the tank for an Oscar...
