hey guys was wondering if u could help me out with a problem with my anenomes/coral..
They dont seem to be openning to their full size, i have a heater in my sump, could the temp be wrong? should i add a heater in the tank? Because this is the 1st winter i have had with my fish.. anyone know wats doin?

Dont get too excited yet Roberto, but I need a little more info before we can get to the bottom of what exactly is going on with your Anenome.

This might be a little tough cause Anenomes arent the easist of corals to keep but most are pretty doable. First things first. I need to know what species of Anenome we are talking about. The other thing I need to know is Temp of the water, PH levels, Alk levels, Nitrates, Nitrites and Ammonia. I also need to know what kind of lighting you got, ie...PC, VHO, NO or Halides and what the wattage levels are and when the last bulb change was done. Lighting can have a pretty profound effect on Anenomes. What type of filtration systen do you have, the maintence routine etc... I will also need to know what type of other critters you have in the tank as well as what size tank were dealing with.

Yes I know thats a lot of info to ask for but I really need to know these things to try and figure out whats going one. If you could please post the info for me I will see if I can crack the code and tell you whats wrong.

I have never been really much of an anemonie person. but I can tell you that anemonies are very picky and are very unforgiving when it comes to water quality and lights.
