Just curious how many people actually try to breed and raise fry? I have been doing it for a few months now. Stumpy for those who know her had 7 healthy fry. 2 of my zebra obliq's had 6 healthy ones each. I have a o.b. holding, a demansioni holding, and my two zebra's are holding again. I love it! The best thing about it is I have a buyer for all I don't keep. Here are pictures of all the males.

This is the father of Stumpy's fry. These fry I'm keeping because they are hybrids.

Congrats on the fry...

Be careful, that OB peacock is likely to try to spawn with anything and everything in the tank...you might watch out with the female Victorians may try to spawn with him....

Currently I have active breeding groups of Eureka Jake Peacocks and A. calvus "white"...

I'm also working with groups of N. leluepi "super orange", N. multifasciatus and Cyprichomis leptsoma "sumbu"...these are all either still too young, or I haven't had any successful broods...still no obvious pairs forming in leluepi...

I raise up alot of them, 90% of my Yellow lab group are raised from fry to adults. I like to see how they turn out, gets kind of addicting.

Got fry? Some random juvies and growouts.

It all started with her, first spawn I ever had was this batch of Kenyi around 4 years ago... I raised them up in a gold fish bowl, eventually setting up a 10 gallon for them. I brought them into the LFS when I moved the Kenyi out, they were young adults around 3"ish.

awesome stuff Chewy...

gotta love those "super oranges"...I know they are not a line bred strain, but actually a location varient that just happens to be more orange than some of the others....I wish I knew where they were from....The LFS that sold me mine swore they were F0...but I really have my doubts as I have had other issues with that store and no longer do business with them...

I am not sure on mine (fo or not I really don't care), but I do know they breed like rabbitts in the right conditions, provided they feel comfortable, and since every egg they have laid has been inside this barnacle, I figure why mess with a good thing. The problem lies in catching the little buggers when they are free-swimmers,

and yeah, they are some sweet looking orange
