The sad story:
About 7 years ago I started the hobby, I began with a 29 gallon coffee table tank of basic tropical community tank. I took a very bad turn when I misinterrpeted the 1 inch per gallon to be 1 fish per gallon. My LFS never told me otherwise, so I really screwed up big time, and ceated a tank of death. When the 29 failed, i expanded to two 55 tanks and did the same disaster. Finally I learned otherwise. Then I converted over to Discus. This was a big mistake. I purchased a lot of expensive discus. Ended up killing a lot of them. Things finally settled down, and I had 1 nice discus tank. All went well till one day I came home from work to find the heater stuck. It fried all my fish. I threw the tank out in disgust and abonede the hobby.
Now comes 2005:
Lets do this right this time. African ciclids, two tanks a 30 and a 60. Working perfectly, not overstocked, crystal clear, happy fish, no deaths.
I only started this around christmas, now If I can only keep it up. Wish me luck.
