How big to these guys get because judging from the name im thinking pretty big but who knows, and also can they go well with larger cichlids?

Mine never got over 3inches  I wouldnt put them in with agressive cichlids. I would think that they would only become a snack.

These are one of my favourate tetras when i had my maintenance business I set up a congo tank in a restuarant it was 3ft with a pair of kribs upside cats a school of adozen congo tetras and elephant nose planting I used all Anubias with driftwood and rocks boy was it impressive the congos really showed their colour.

Congo's rock, my males are soooo pretty massive dorsal fins longer then them and they colour up beautifully when in season. Dont mix them with some cichlids but mine are in with a festivum and angels, panchax knife fish, catfish polkadot loaches and glass cats and they rule the tank theyre about 4 inch's though
