SO...
as you all probably know I have had huge plans for my son's bedroom. Which I'm converting to my son's PLUS my bettas' room.

Anyway - Saucy came over today and was wonderful at painting. And you all better BACK OFF and not get ANY ideas - she's my painting buddy and you CAN'T SHARE HER.

Anyway...
Here's a quick update on the room progress.
Today we painted 3 of the 4 walls, and I think that's where it will stay. 2 of the walls are a really cool almost dark cornflower blue and the other is lime green. LOVE them. I got my minibow collection going - I so far have 2 blues, one orange, one lime, one teal and one purple. And all coordinating marbles and decor to match the fish. hee hee hee!

Anyway - Saucy took some pics of the room in progress today. It's a HUGE mess right now cuz everything's torn apart but she got some really good photos of the paintjob thus far. We'll post those later on.

The shelves I had planned to use didn't work out so I'm going to need to make a trip to Ikea very soon. Then back to Menard's for more paint too.

So it's coming along very nicely. I'm just a wee bit excited. :)

I'll briefly describe myself... I'm about 50 years old, I have really long greying hair that's not been cut in years because I have been spending so much time with my bettas and I am a recluse. Meaning I don't go out - someone drops off fish food for me and I never see the light of day. When I die I'll be on the animal cops show as the little old lady who passed away in her sleep dreaming about bettas and now they are tasked with re-homing about 1007 bettas.

of COURSE that's all a lie. I don't have QUITE 1007 bettas. YET.

and i'm only 31 years old.
and I don't have ANY gray hairs at all.

I think the reason queen of bettas (or queen of procrastinating) isn't posting pictures of herself is because she is really a deformed betta. That is why she is so good with them. She was a betta that had an unfortunate mishap with toxic waste, and now she can walk on land. But everyone teases her gills.

They're very good...Mint Oreo Tornado is very good. But I can't go there much, Bill always offers either right before we eat somewhere or afterwards. :P

She put another coat of the green on (yes, I promise you it's green) so it's a lot darker than in the pic. What do you think so far?

I have put 3 minibows on the desk in the corner and hung things up. AND gotten a bunch of crap cleaned off the bed.

AND... I have a round mirror that's framed with a bike tire with a lime stripe on it.
I also have 4 square mirrors that are all painted w/blue and green different colors.
I have one of those long lime mesh storage things from Ikea with holes all down the sides that hold stuffed animals.
I also have rugs and stuff to match.
His bedspread and pillowcases, etc. all match.
