well, i wanna get this certain looking molly, and this is what i'm gonna do. i'm gonna get a male 24 karat molly, a female black molly and a female silver molly. now, i'm gonna breed them, and take 10 babies out of each batch in the first month they have babies. i'm going to have two breeder traps. then once those get grown up, i'm gonna select the best looking male molly from the black molly. then take the best looking female molly from the silver molly, and breed those. and hopefully, it'll be a multicolored molly. i've seen these in magazines befoe. tdo u think this is gonna work?

Of coarse it will work, it will take you longer than 2 generations to achieve unless they already have the mottled genes. If you intend to do this quickly, for more success you should keep as many fry as possible from each batch. Do some research on guppy genetics, becuase it applys to all livebearer gentics, and theres more info about guppy genes than other livbearer type genes out there. Personally i would be discourageing you from this, as keeping colours pure and improving them is far better than crossbreeding with different sub-species, and weakining the colours and genes with continoues inbreeding.

Your fish your decision
