Alright here's the deal. I boiled about 2 leaves an poured into my spawning tank. I then put one more dried leaf into the spawning tank but this time not boiled. That was aobut two days ago. Today I checked up on the spawning tank and the color was darer than normal. Is is safe to just put the pair in or do I have to let them get use to the Ph first?

One leaf is enough my dear for 10 gallon. :)

Oh crap LOL. Hey Yeev do you follow the 1 square inch per gallon rule? I've heard it somewhere but not quite sure if it's mandatory. So should I just store the water somewhere and restart the spawning tank?

I'd just take out the leaf you have in the tank and change 50% of your water. Then you should be perfect. Siphon the extra water into some bottles and you'll have it for next time!

Do all of you all boil you water w/the leaves?
I always just drop a little section of leaf into the tank.
My fish love it cuz they bubblenest all around it.
I just do so many water changes so much of the time that I'd be boiling water non-stop...

I prefer boil now because I got fast IAL if I needed. Also sometimes the leaves got fungus, mold or bacteria stick on the leaves so Better protect it then regret later.

That's true. You can float a small section of the leaf around and let them build a bubblenest (which mine loves to do too) but boil is a sure effective way to make sure no bad stuff like Yeev said get into your betta's water.
