Every time I think I've solved one problem with Hunter he gives me another one. Last week I got him into his 2.5 minibow (thanks to BettaMomma). I divided the tank and have him on one side and Vince on the other. Now with a heater in the tank it looks like his tail biting has stopped. (Thank goodness. He's about down to nubs.) Now he's trying to jump the divider. I have the divider in and then a piece of plastic up above the divder, so I don't think he can get over the plastic, but when he jumps he hits the lid of the tank so hard that I'm afraid he's going to do serious injury to himself. I was watching him this morning when he tried to jump and the thud scared me to death. He acted like he was a little stunned at first, but now is back to his old fiesty self. What's a mother to do???? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

WHAT a trouble maker you have there. my plakat Mario jumps very very high, and I will not put him in a divided tank for that reason. he'd murder any other fish, he's huge, anyways, it sounds like you have it sealed off really well, maybe you should get him a padded tank, what a nut :)

:lol: Or at least a padded lid!!! When I first put him in the tank there was a little place where he could see Vince. He kept ramming his face into the divider until I got the little gap covered. Now he goes to that spot at the divider and just hangs there. I'm sure he's cussing Vince, but I just can't hear him. :bitchslap:

BettaMomma - I've got things worked out I think to get Vince into another tank. I'm going to leave Hunter in the Minibow. I've found with Batista that once I got his tank to his liking he's calmed down quite a bit and as long as I don't mess with it too much he's okay. I think if I can get Hunter a little more space and a few more things in his tank for him to investigate he may be more content. I'm coming to really believe that although they will do fine in a one gallon they are much happier in a larger tank. Since I put Booker in the 1g Aquaview all he does is hang in the water and stare at me like I'm the most evil person who ever lived. I'm going to try to start upgrading all of them except Lita. She's so tiny she looks lost in a 1g. :lol:

Yep, I'm thinking the same thing. And then there's the issue of a few of them being unhappy when the tank is a tad bit too big (HARVEY)... They are petrified of everything.

Ya know - I think I maybe just figured out your problem. Your fish have wrestler names. You KNOW in their tanks they're talking smack to each other like they do in the wrestling ring. :bitchslap:

:starwars: I swear I think you're right! They will hang on either side of the divider at exactly the same spot and just hang there like their having a conversation. Well, something like:

"Your momma"

"Hey man, don't be dissin' my momma"

"What are you gonna do about it?"

"What am I gonna do? I'll show you what I'm gonna do!"

Then Hunter slams into the top of the tank. That'll show Vince all right. :whistle:
