YES here are the tupperware I told you guys. I was finished taken out the betta that flow in from colorado. The yello one is the metallic blue MG and you can see how they look like when I stack them up. I bought 22 of this type. Different that the one I mention before but they are the same brand. 4/5 gallon. Here is another neighbor cat that they didn't take them away when move. Poor baby and she is cute. I called her sweety pie. Both stay outside or sometimes in my ceramics studio.
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 08:40 PM (GMT)
Another view of the side. Yes, I still can see the betta. I know it is not like glass but they can look what next is. They can see me too. :) You also can see I drilled two holes on the lid so it is easy for me to feed them without open the lid. :)
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 08:42 PM (GMT)

Here is a picture to enter the house from the back. Where I used to gets in the house and also an area to clean the tupperware at the concrete porch. Time to change water too so will show you more pictures. :) All this are 1 gallon tupperware as I told you all before. I stack them up high to 6. :) I change water once a week. :)
bettabelieveit - July 15, 2005 08:50 PM (GMT)
Very nice! looks very cool how they are set up, do they always stay outside? what do you do in the winter?
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 08:52 PM (GMT)
Here are the once that I cleaned and have new aged water. :) Yeah, I used scurb brush with DOWNY dish soap to clean each container tupperware. :)
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 08:56 PM (GMT)
They all moved into the ceramics studio or in my house actually. They just arrived and I do it in my concrete porch. I love to make this area as my fish room someday if I extending the wall. :)
Here another view of the 1 gallon tupperware. I got a bunch of new tupperware 4/5 gal at the back. Need to filled those up to and put all my betta in there. Oh got a TV supposed to be in the dumpster but it isstill work so I can water tv while I clean. LOL

More close up. I think they works great for me. :)Cheap too for 1.99 per piece at walmart. :) So at least one gallon is good for betta. I love my halfmoon in 4 gallon one. :)I don't have to change water that much. LOL 1 in two weeks or so. LOL
You can see the holes I drill at the lid. The female can't jump out now. LOL
bettabelieveit - July 15, 2005 09:04 PM (GMT)
Soo... Yeevia, what kind of gate do you have in your yard? is it sturdy? where do you live again...?

I can see it now, I sneek in try to take the fish, then the cats come and poo on me  and then Yeevia comes out and we argue, like this
:arab:
 woo
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 09:06 PM (GMT)
That is it. :) I am out. Need to do all my cleaning. LOL I hope you enjoy it and try to used the tupperware. Very good and stackable. 4 gallon one I will recommended to stack two only.
justhal - July 15, 2005 09:24 PM (GMT)
Hey, Yeevia - anywhere there CAN be a betta, there IS a betta!!! That's GREAT!!!
And the tupperware is better than I thought - I'm not sure it's for me, or that it would survive Michigan weather, but it's kinda cool!
You are a certifiable BETTA NUT!!! :jk:
I hope it doesn't get that bad around here!!!
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 09:29 PM (GMT)
Just set your apartment or house up to 80 F like me in the winter time. :)
justhal - July 15, 2005 10:47 PM (GMT)
 I don't think that would work, Yeevs... I have a huge dog that would REVOLT!!! It would be a like a sauna in here!!! This is Iwan - 205lbs of imported Italian Neapolitan Mastiff:

You know what I think those containers would be good for is breeding - if I have as many spawns going as I plan, I just might try to find a few... Do they make 10 gallon Tupperware???
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 10:52 PM (GMT)
Well, maybe you want to make a room only for betta. Then you can have an elecric heat on and set it up to 79 to 80 F. :)
Whiskerz - July 15, 2005 11:15 PM (GMT)
I seen those containers at Wal-mart, but they were like $5 each here :hmm:
I really wanted one but only had around $4 on me at the time.
And you have more bettas than I thought!!!! What do people say when they come over to your house? My friends always tell me I have way too many fish, next time they say that I'm gonna show them this thread and see what they say afterwards
BettasRFriends - July 15, 2005 11:16 PM (GMT)
That's ALOT of tupperware man. Aren't you afraid someone might steal some like me
yeeviabettas - July 15, 2005 11:32 PM (GMT)
This is just a part of the tupperware. More in my ceramics studio and in my house. LOL
How come your tupperware at walmart are more expensive then mine? They suppost to be the same price. Check it out again is that the type mine is. :)
I have no worried people going to steal it. It just betta and not gold nugget. LOL Fence? You can climb over the fence and that will be great. LOL Of course got metal gate. :)
BettasRFriends - July 15, 2005 11:38 PM (GMT)

Whiskerz - July 15, 2005 11:41 PM (GMT)

Nope, not all walmarts have the same price. Their prices start at what corporate office tells them it should be, but then the price goes up depending on what the local competition has the same item priced at. Walmart tries to keep their prices close but still under the competition. And if they are not under the competition, you just bring in an ad from where they are cheaper(with that item in the ad lol)and they will do a price adjustment at the register, it's called comping.
I worked there for 3 yrs., you learn all sorts of secrets. :shh: lol
Seahorse - July 16, 2005 12:38 AM (GMT)

I just checked my tupperwares 4/5 gallon in my ceramics studio and guys, if you are doing halfmoon, get those tupperware containers to raise your babies hm for competition. (especially Justhal). You will be amazing. I love to take pictures to show you guys but I think it is good not too for right now until they goes for competition. :) (Got spy in here. LOL ) OLALA! I think I better go with my instinct for the novice competition now without any help. It will be more challenging to do it by myself after all the thought in this few weeks. I will write email to Jeff (ex president of IBC) who is in Kansas and ask him his feedback with some of his view. :) He just 35 minutes drive to my place.:) I got few pairs to breed today. :) OK. I am going back to clean my breeding tanks. :)
OohFeeshy - July 17, 2005 09:42 AM (GMT)
Just wondering, do the folks at Walmart go  behind your back because you buy so much tupperware? They must think you're craaazy :)
DVSGRL - July 17, 2005 11:34 AM (GMT)
:wow: how much do those containers cost :?: You prob could of bought 10 bettas with that $$
Do those containers have holes on the top for fresh air :?:
yeeviabettas - July 17, 2005 05:46 PM (GMT)
1 gallon tupperware container cost $1.99 USD. 2 gallon cost 2.99 USD. 4 gallong cost 3,99USD. Walmart done care how many you buy. They thought you just want to put filling inside to protect from water. LOL
If you didn't drill hole, it is still ok because they are not air tight lid. It still got tiny holes or gap on the lock and the handle part. I drilled two holes 1.5 cm diam on the side of the lid. So I can feed the betta from there. They know that is the feeding tube. LOL always waiting there. Funny huh. Betta is pretty smart animal. :)
MLH Fish - July 20, 2005 03:05 AM (GMT)
Alright Yeevia. lol You and your tupperware pictures...guess what i found in my room tonight??? Yup, a clear, rubbermaid container...not as large as your 5 gallon one...but i think it holds like 2 gallons of water. Has the locking lid and everything.
So now i have it sitting on my bed, staring at me. lol I already know what's going to end up in it...yup, 1/2 a pair of black copper plakat, when i have a job and you have some available...at the same time. lol
The female, if she has good temperament, will go in my 10 gallon female tank...if not, she will get her own tupperware. lol
I'm going to put a piece of paper in it that reads: "Reserved for a Yeevia betta!" lol
Seriously though, i'm looking at tupperwares in a whole new light. I showed the pictures to my mom and she said, "Stay out of my closets! If I see my containers missing..." hehehe But i do have a spot along my wall that's not big enough for a tank and stand...but is just right for stacking storage containers. :) ha ha ha
