Seahorse - July 16, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
Since you got to ask Dong some questions, I want to ask you some! jay You've shown us some awesome stuff (your bettas, your kiddie pool, your tupperware, your cats poo).
1. You are originally from Thailand right? How long did you live there?
2. Did you ever catch wild bettas, and how?
3. Why did you move to Kansas?
4. How long have you been breeding bettas? What kind was your first?
5. What other fish do you have besides your midas/cat hybrid?
6. Is breeding bettas your full or part time job?
7. Does your family live in Thailand?
I think that is all the questions I have. Tell us everything! :woo:

1. I am not from Thailand. I am from North Borneo, East Malaysia and been there for 28 years. :) I live in the city of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Check it out in internet . We have a lot of Islands and a lot of resort area now to bush up Tourism. Brunei is just 25 minutes flight and my sister is there. :) We do have some variety of wild bettas but at that time, nobody is interested and they just focus on import fish. :)
2. I never catch a wild betta before but would love to catch now especially the wild macrostoma in Brunei. (my dream) I usually catch guppy, garumis, Karok (climbing perch), Talapia and all kind of wild fish and I don't know what their name is. Just net or fishing hook. Nothing fancy. Old style like evey one I guess. :) I do go out to the sea to catch fish too. :) I love it.
3, I Came to Kansas in 1991 to future my study. Computer major is not my type, change to nursing and it is good but fall in love with ceramics. So end up to be my major.
4, Well, I breed veiltail actually when I was 8 years old. Don't tell anyone, OK? LOL All dead actually because I was young and no where I can find any information. I just start back to breed betta after I found a lot of information from internet learning how to breed betta and it just fuel me back my fish hobby. I think I will keep continue breeding until I died. LOL I just love it. :)
5, Flowerhorn right now. :) That is it. :)
6, Breeding is just my hobby because I like to know. And I love to do experiments. My real job is a professor teaching in a Unversity as a ceramics instructor and other fineart classes. Like computer graphics and black and white design.
7,My parent still in Malaysia and I do fly back for my vacation. My next trip will going to be in Bangkok, Thailand if I going back for my vacation. Maybe next year or two. Watch out dong! I came to visit your farm. :)LOL
