Title: 3 times a charm
Description: =]

Well as some of you know my first two spawn has been unsuccessful with no eggs. The male apparently was too old. Anyways I then recondition the female and switched the male with a blue marble. Today I checked the tank and I witness the spawning ritual of them wrapping around 3 times! Well I took the female out already and am waiting to see if the male ate the eggs or not. He constantly tends the nest and flare at me if I try to take a peek. The female has only a minor tear in her anal fin and the male has NONE! :woo:. The female is perfectly fine though she shrank considerably. Here is the pair:

oooh! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! How exciting! I'm still waiting for eggs....well i'm still waiting for female and male to be conditioned(re-conditioned for female and 1st conditioning for male)...then for spawning, then for eggs, etc. etc. lol

What color combo's do you think you'll end up with??? That's the most exciting part for me, seeing what they look like. lol That's what i loved about feeder guppies, you never knew what to expect. :)

Ooooh I know exactly what you mean. I hope the results are nice :woo:. Yeah I read your journal, just keep trying. I tried 2 times with the other male and he refuses to wrap around the female. Today is the third day I believe that I first put the male and female in the tank. I was about to stop the spawning until I saw white specks :woo:

Well here's something I've found from Bettysplendens which I hope is true:
This Marble mutation appears to be a dominant gene with highly variable expression. When Marble Bettas are spawned the offspring are usually of several types including Cambodian, Blonde, Black, and Marble.
