Title: A few words of wisdom
Description: Something to make you smile... :)

So Jason and I were just at Petco, and we were chatting with one of the people who works there and a guy came up asking about bettas. So Taft (the employee) says, "Talk to her, she's knows everything about them." And I say Jason knows more... lol. So he starts talking to us about how he's had his betta for about 2 years.

So he's talking about tank size and we find out his little fellow is in about a 5-gallon tank by himself and he changes the water once a week!! So I say to him, "Wow, you're a great owner changing the water every week like that." So he answers, "Well, the fish can't clean it himself." I just kind of smiled... it's so true. Unlike people, fish can't clean themselves... really makes you think, you know? "It's all a little game we play called being an owner." Another thing he said later on... and so true. We need more people around like him.

Just wanted to give you all a little smile today... :)

That's nice, especially with so much negativity that happens with fish. I hope more people read this.

Wow that is so true. In nature, NATURE takes care of the fish, not us but now that we're the owner, we have to take responsibility. It's great to know that there are still people out there that love fish for what they truly are. The good thing is that my favorite LFS (ran by Thailand people) keeps they're fish with extra care and I havent' seen any dead yet. One of the employee who knows me always says "So what're you here for?" (He knows I love bettas) and my usual reply was "Ah well fish of course"

That's great. It's good when people actually take care of their pets. ^^

That is GREAT news! Yes, nature will takecare if they were in the wild. Now we all play GOD so we all have responsibility to take better care of our pet then the nature. :)
