Okay. :)
My female has been reconditioning and her tail healing and my other male i'm going to use has been conditioning too.
There's already some new growth on her tail(now she looks like a doubletail lol)...and for a few minutes a day, like 10-15, i sit her deli container (healing tank)next to my male's tank for some visual stimuli for the two of them to help with conditioning.
Well, when she sees the male, she puts her head down, makes her body into the S shape, and watches him. I'm assuming she's ready again, but it's only been about 9 days since she was seperated from the last male.
Is it too soon??? Should i go ahead and put her in the plastic canvas cylinder in the male's tank??? I already have the cylinder in there, but she is not in it. I just wanted my male to get used to it, so it wouldn't freak him out.
Oh and for the male to make a bubblenest in, since i don't have any bubblewrap, i took some leaves off of my Aponogeton crispus plant, there's about 4 in the tank, and he's already making a nest under it. He's my male that has never made a nest before, so i am taking it that this is a good sign on his part, yes??
So is it too soon? How much longer should i make her wait before intro-ing her to my male?? I don't want to rush her, but she seems so ready, i feel bad for her. lol
It's not too soon IMO. I've heard from breeders that you can mate a pair again after 2 weeks from the previous spawn. My male, when I spawned him, has build a beautiful nest under the common pothos plant and he totally ignores the giant IAL right in front of him. I re-spawn my female after about 2 weeks of re-conditioning but that's just me though. She became really really fat so I decided it's time for another try.
