Title: Landscaping
mr_miagi32 - July 22, 2005 05:46 AM (GMT)
Ok, seen as though there is another house thread goin, ill start my own thread on what i worked on this weekend!
First we started with this peace of "lawn" which wasnt really used for anything.

We then went and bought some Moss rocks from a farmer we know up the road. His farms name is "Goonhilly downs" Which i ge a kick out of! :P $30 for around 1ton. Mates rates! :D

Moving them was a pain in the arse but all worked out well once placed where we wanted them! :D (Note the cardboard is to supress weeds coming up through the mulch. You can also use newspaper which we did)

Now wen bought 2 trailer loads of mulch. One was $25.00 and the other $19.00

And the final product, for $74.00 was this:

We are going to plant it full native. My brother works in the native plants business so we get dirt cheap fingerlings. Mostly free ones! Ill post pics of the other native patch we have done! :D

Nope, its a court (no through road type thing), so there is never anyone using the area anyway. I think its council land, but if you 'care' for the area they dont mind at all! jay
Thanks guys! :drunk:

OohFeeshy - July 27, 2005 11:48 AM (GMT)
Niiice, will look a lot better when its planted. On second thoughts, scrap the garden and build a public aquarium.
