Don't know if I am posting this in the right place, but I need help. My black molly went crazy. It was sold to me as a female along with a silver lyretail molly. I had a male creamsicle molly since he was about 1 month old. It was fine. I added the other two and they were fine till a couple of days ago. Today was the worst. The black molly flipped out, started chasing the creamsicle around non stop, swims alongside and into the silver one. Pushes her to the floor and then takes off after the guppies. The only one it leaves alone is my dwarf gouramie (Don't know why) Oh and whenever it goes after the creamsicle, his dorsal fin goes straight up (normally it is flat like all my other mollies) :cuss: :cuss: :cuss: What do I do? some of my fish are soooo tired of being chased they actually lie on the gravel.

Sounds like a real horny male to me, the best bet would be to put him in another tank, if you cant do that then provide heaps of hiding for the females such as caves etc etc, what I would do aswell is put him in one of those breeding nets, there large enough for any molly really. I think its best to take him back though and get somthing else.

I bought shale to make caves with, and I am going to buy plants too. I am attached to the stupid thing already, and if you saw the lfs I bought him at, you wouldn't return him either. How can you sex these fjsh, especially since the store sold him as a female?

lol the males are really easy to sex as they have a gonopodium, ie a large fleshy tube on their anal fin that looks exactly like a..........well i swore not to get to crude but you get the idea

hehehe I get it. Now if the little bugger would slow down I could check to see what it is...lol.
