So far my spawn has four basic colours. There are the pearly fry...

but today I noticed something completely different. A marble?!?!

It shows up as green iridescent with flash on most of the time and won't hold still enough for me to take a clear pic with flash off, but I swear, something is definitely up with this little guy. It doesn't have the horizontal stripes that literally all of them do (unless there's another oddball I haven't noticed) and its colours are coming in in splotches... its eyes are lighter than the rest of the frys' as well. I hope it's going to be a marble... oooo I hope I hope I hope :D

It's possible. Marbles can show up in some of the most unexpected places.

Yeah, that's really cool. I was amazed by the different colors I got too. Genetics are fascinating...

What color are the parents? Do you have any photos of them?

Genetics sure is fascinating! I'm planning to land myself a career in genetics research after grad school

The parents are red cambodian and copper :)
