Title: Tank Day

It was a definitly messy, wet day here at the zoo....(my house! LOL)
While draining one of the 10 gal divided betta tanks...I get distracted and next thing I know there is like an inch of water in the tank and one of the boys is in the syphon hose swimming up and down.... :omg:
I quickly got him out of the tube...and ran to turn on the water to refill the tank....forgetting that I had stuck the small syphon hose into the bigger one...and you guessed it....the became disconnected!!!! Shooting water ALL over my living room....birds, cats, dogs, floor and myself got wet! :starwars:
Water was going everywhere....1st the large hose got stuck on something and wouldn't reach all the way to the tank, then the little hose decided it was gonna continue to drain the tank...onto my floor....had a spot as big as my dining room table puddled on the floor by the time I got it under control. :mad:
During this, my 3 dachsaunds and the kitten are dancing around my feet and looking at me like I am crazy...(I can only imagine what I was saying!!! :cuss: )
Needless to say, I decided after I got done cleaning that mess up that the rest of the tanks were just gonna have to wait till tomorrow!!!! :pft:

Is exactly what I did afterwards...
My kitten was walking thru the water and shaking its feet...started to laugh and then I couldn't stop....
What a mess.....
Oh yeah...disclaimer...no bettas were hurt during the making of this story! :lol:

I'm sure at the time it wasn't, but you gotta admit from the dog's and cat's perspectives it had to be pretty dang funny. lol

Well, I did some of the rest today...things went a LOT smoother....
I think the fact that I am battling a cold in the middle of summer might have something to do with my problems! :lol:
