Ok..anyone that has read my TANK Day posting knows about the bettas that went thru the extreme water change.... :omg: :laugh:

Anyway, was checking them tonight....and they hae ICH!!!!! ARRGGHHHH :cuss:

Somedays, it just doesn't pay to get out of bed! :lol:

Only thing I didn't do the same as normal is add stress coat to their water when I refilled...like I was thinking about THAT in the middle of the water escapades!!!!


Anyway, they are being treated.....just a small rant! LOL

Do you use Jungle Ich tabs? If not, I would HIGHLY suggest investing. So would Jason. They are fantastic.

Thirding the reccomendation! they work quite well. for ich and any parasite dustings.

Don't have jungle ick meds...but stuff i have seems to be working...have had to use it before....

The betta in the right side of the tank is soooo funny...

there is a rock leaning against the divider and he keeps hiding his head in the little gap like he is ashamed he has ick!!!!! :lol:

raise the water temp a bit if you can to about 80-84F (slowly) then use double doses of aquarium salt for 3 days then let the tank sit for 4 days then do partial water changes for 3 days, works everytime

I've had really good luck with maracide too, in case anyone's looking for alternative ich treatments. And from what I've heard - most ich meds do the trick pretty nicely.

Yes, definitely kick his water up to the 84 degree range rather slowly. And get some aquarium salt in there. Doc Wellfish's - can get it at Walmart, dissolve it in a cup with some tank water for 10 mins and then dump it into the tank.

dont use those ick tabs. it ate away at the finish to all my caves and ate away at sabers dear tail i do not recommend that stuff
