Molly, you can try to get in contact with some pond specialists around your area. They should give you the best advice ;)

i work at a pet store and the calcualtions are on the counter but i cant remember them :banghead:
it's something like Length + Width + Depth.. then you double the depth and add another 2 feet for overhang
so if you get the laguna liner you'll need... 20ft in length of the 10ft wide
i need to go tomorrow to get crickets for my frog so i'll get the actual calculations for you when i go

A really good trick too, which is very cheap, is line the hole with old carpet before laying down the liner. About the best protector I've ever come across & usually free so much cheaper than the liner protectors often sold. HTH's.
Sounds like it's going to be a pretty specky pond. Whatchya putting in there?

I would go with barra's idea as well, he is good with his ponds and I trust his knowledge.

Thanks VIP, I appreciate that,
Also, one other thing molly, re the depth. I don't know where you are as no location info in your profile, but if you're in Australia then most councils have specific requirements for backyard security for ponds deeper than 600mm, so you might want to check that out with the Shire just in case.
'Course if you not in Oz then dunno :dunno: .... :)
& be sure to post pics as you build it & when it's done, if you don't mind, we're all keen to see the new addition(s). :pics: :pics: :pics:
