For all of you who know stumpy.
I have found out the real father for sure now. It was hard to tell at first, because her fry where yellow. Naturally I thought it was this guy.
But, as time progressed I can now for sure tell who the father is. Drumm roll please :?:
And, finally her is how I can tell. One of her fry.

trippy shit, i thought that the fry take the colours of the female? until of course u can determine their sex? im guessing that obviously mean that fry is a male, but why r the others yellow? :dunno:

Yeah she's a little trooper. She is one of my most prized fish. That's why I let her just breed with who ever she wants. She just recently mated with my demasi. Her fry are again yellow. I keep all of her fry. As not to introduce another hybrid into the hobby. From now on her fry will have to fend for them selfs in the show tank. If they live they live if they don't oh well. I can't keep them all. Some will see the belly of my needle nose gar, and clown knife.

Stumpy wasn't born that way. She got her tail chewed off when she was little. I watched her for a week after at the lfs. When I saw that she healed up fine I bought her. She is actually one of the fastest swimming fish that I have.

I had a slut fish once. I finally had to move her, cause she was over crowding all my tanks. Darn fish weren't even trying to eat the fry. If I had more aggressive meat eating fish, I would of probably been ok...

awesome pics you got there, :omg: i got 2 stumpy's myself.they lost their tails when they returned to my main tank from having fry.it was my male M.AURATUS that is the bully.now he has got 3females and 1 imber to keep him happy.
