DD
not really, i just call it a pond it was outside and it had water in it so yeah its a pond lol
Did it happen to be caught up in any blanket/string algae?
My mom just lost 2 of her fish she'd had more than 5 years bc of that. She went out of town for a week, came back to a spread of that nasty algae with 2 of her fish wrapped up in it. Seems they got caught in it and couldn't get out.
Also, I've heard that if you loose one for no apparent reason, cut out all high-protien food, add a teaspoon of Epsom Salts for every five gallons of water, and only feed them very lightly for a few weeks. I've heard that goldfish can and will eat themselves to death, and that high-protein foods aren't esp good for them. You should feed them only about as much food as their eye is big, and it's better to feed them 2x a day rather than all at once. (Did that make sense!?!)
Not sure what/how much you feed yours but I'd atleast cut back on the feedings a while.
Anyway, hate to hear it. It always sucks to lose a fish. Esp when you don't know why.
Good luck with the rest of them!
