Title: Jumpers and Hiders
Description: Water changes are so interesting

I do water changes on my four guys at work on the first day of the week and on the last day of the week, during my 30 minute lunch break. The faster I get at the actual water changes the slower I am at catching the fish and getting them out of the dirty water.
Hunter decided he wanted to do some high flying today. After I finally snuck up on him and manuvered him into the cup, which was a trick in itself, I lifted the cup straight up out of the tank. I guess I didn't lift it high enough for him and he wanted to go higher because he jumped another three inches above the cup and over the side. He thwacked down on my desk pretty hard and looked like he was stunned there for a few seconds. Of course as soon as I tried to scoop him up with my hand he started flopping and flopped halfway across the desk before I could catch him. I got the water changed quickly and got him back into his tank, and he was swimming around at first, but now he is just hanging at the top. I put in some extra stress coat and turned out the light, but I'm a little concerned about him especially with being gone over the long weekend.
Vince is never a problem. He is so laid back and easygoing you can almost see a smile on his face. Booker is pretty easy as well. He always looks like he's mad about something, but takes his water changes in stride. But Edge is almost as much of a fight as Hunter. He is terrified of anything and everything. I have to take everything out of his tank that he can possibly hide behind and then try to sneak the cup up under him. And that business about bettas not being able to swim fast - :pft: , whoever said that hadn't met Edge. I'm about to the point I'm going to put him into a tank with a filter I can cycle so we BOTH don't get so stressed out over water changes.
Geeez.

Sorry, I've been away from the boards for a few days. I musta missed this one somehow.
How's Hunter doing?
Someone once told me, after I complained about Lucky "flying" out of his tank and down the drain, that superheroes CAN really fly. :)
Hopefully he's had a chance to relax and recover during the long weekend.

He's fine, he's just a hyper little snot. He and Batista should have both been female since they are such prima donnas. They like to be dramatic.
I turned to look at him as I typed this. He is laying on his side in the back of the tank with his head stuck down underneath the airstone. Anyone who walked by would swear he was dead. After the first hundred or so heart attacks I had I finally realized he was just a weird sleeper. Such a drama queen!!!! :bitchslap:

Oh no!!!! I don't even take my guys near the sink here at work. It's a big industrial janitors sink and even if they just fell into it without going down the drain, it would be a drop of several feet. I scoop them out into their cups right here at my desk and this is where they stay. I can just picture Hunter doing a high dive!!!
