Title: Gourami with ick....
Description: dwarfs...

Hello everyone. I finally put some fish in that empty 20 tall i had that housed my angelfish. I divided it and put a neon blue gourami on one side and a flame gourami on the other side. Do i have to keep the divider? I'm reading they are fairly peaceful fish but i don't want to come home to a mangled gourami so that's why i have the divider. One i know for certain is a male, he blew a huge bubblenest...the other i'm not so sure on...but i'm assuming by coloring(neon blue with orange-red stripes) and lack of ovipositor, is male as well.

Well, the flame gourami broke out with a case of ick 2 days after they were in there...so i'm treating it(which since it's a divided tank and they came from the same tank at the petstore which incidentally no contains no fish now..i'm treating them both)with Aquarisol.

I'm confused though. It doesn't say on the bottle any where how often i add it to the water or how long it'll take to cure the ick. Anyone use Aquarisol before and if so, how often to i add it to the water and how long will it take to cure the ick??

Thanks! :)

Maybe this will help....

Instructions:
Use 12 drops for every 10 gallons regularly. Use once a week as a disease preventative and whenever new fish are added. For treatment of parasites, use above dosage daily and gradually raise the temperature to 85 degrees until symptoms are gone. As a net dip, use one teaspoon for every 10 gallons.

Lol! My bottle says everything you wrote except the part about using it daily until symptoms are gone.

So thank you soooo much. :) Now at least i know how often to use it.

Thanks again! :)
