If you feels like you have so many problems with you betta lately, it is time to think about the ph level. Medication for this or that won't help much. Keep changing fresh water still not a total right solution. Bacteria, ammonia, and nitrate plays a lot to hurt the betta so beware of it. Lowel ph will eliminating the water turned to ammonia. It also stop the bacteria growth. Rain water is so much better because they do have acidic quality.
What you have to do to your water to prevent things happened.
Ph level have to be drop to 6.5 to 6.8ph or even lower if the betta is really sick. :)
Indian almond leaf or black water solution is the way to go. I even soak the IAL longer into the water. As you know, IAL is not a medication but it helps to prevent it happened.:)
