Thanks :D It's so true too, I could see a betta flaring at a shark, "You think you scare me!? HA!"

Not I, but I'm going to one in Texas October 15th... I might even enter my babies in competition just for the heck of it

Is there any information posted online? the IBC website? I wonder where it is in Indiana??? I'm not really that far... and I have friends down there.

Got a link, Jason???

I don't know, Yeeves - my MG PK from you is looking really good right now... Maybe I should enter my MG against YOUR MGs and see which wins.

Nah - I'd enter my own HMs if I was going to enter...

Not bad, we're driving 6 hours!

MLH Fish - September 11, 2005 03:59 AM (GMT)
Just about 4 hours from me too. Hmmmm....it's a Saturday too so i'll be off of work. I'm going to try to make it....but i can't promise anything. lol But i'll post a definitely or not post closer to that day. :)

Man, I'm so jealous. I've never been to a betta competition before but I've seen picutres () and they look very exciting. It's too bad I don't have a car and that I'm too young to fly airline by myself (even though I'm currently broke too )

justhal - September 11, 2005 11:42 AM (GMT)
Yeah, it would be a good experience. I think you have to be an IBC member to enter in the regular categories. I've only shown dogs - never fish. It could be cool.

But GHEESH! with the price of gas these days, it would probably be cheaper to fly!!!

Have you checked flight prices lately? your better off getting a moped or a bicycle instead

you do have to be an ibc member to show in regular. you don't have to be a member to show in novice though. showing in novice is a good experience before running with the big dogs.

i might go. not sure yet. i got a formal function saturday night and my son's birthday party on sunday.

MLH Fish - September 12, 2005 01:29 PM (GMT)
I'm trying to talk my dad into getting a trade so he can be off of work and go with me. I hate driving. lol Besides we never get to do anything together now that we work opposite shifts and all...and he likes bettas. I think he'd love to see show bettas. :)
