Just want to say great job here in the saltwater section as you have proven yourself a great leader.

Aint nothing but a "thang". Just happy to be able to help out a little even if it aint the mainstream of the forum. Growing is sometimes a slow and lengthy process. In the meantime I will keep chippin away at it. Who knows maybe some of the FW crowd will get inspired and come over to the dark side :starwars:

Dannyboy17, no biggie, just want you to enjoy it as much as I do and hopefully not make a lot of the goof ups I made.

I remember first starting out....I was so blown away about all the choices and what I "really" needed and what was nice to have. I mean take lighting for instance...NO/VHO/PC/Halides, which do I really need for what I want to do. They all work, some just better than others thats all. What sand do I get? There has to be at least 4 different grades of sand out there. Live rock...must be a dozen or so commonly available. UV unit? Skimmers? The list goes one. Of course the manufactures would have you believe that with out there product it just cant be done.... And of course I didnt know about forums then either....back then. Man the fun dollars I could have saved and the headaches too.

Its all about helping the guy next to you out!!! The biggest reward is getting a newbie into it and seeing how excited they get and watching them succeed!

Almost as good is seeing the owner of the LFS come over and visit and watching there jaw drop and knees buckle when they see your tank and tell you how much better your tank looks than theirs!!! Now thats an real ego booster!

Bottom line, If you aint having fun you aint doing it right!
