Yeah....that is a hard decision....I'd go for the sand senga....

This is Nemo, my psychotic Tretocephalus. I saved him from being a protein snack for a Saratoga. I was at a LFS where a young bloke was trying to impress two girls by feeding this Saratoga. They were like "you can't feed it live fish", to which he replied "naah it's ok, they're damaged stock so we can't sell them anyway". He was then reaching for Nemo next & I interceeded & said I'd give him $10 for him, which he accepted & I took Nemo home.

I called him Nemo as he'd had his right pec fin torn off leaving just a stump - like Nemo's lucky fin in the movie. He was psychotic but & proceeded to rule violently every tank I put him in. In the end I had to put him in my pond outside & he thrived. Coloured up beautifully.

Sadly he met his match but. :( I found him with three distinct tear marks where a cat got hold of him. To his credit he got away, but he died from his wounds later. That's when I found him. :bye: But pound for pound I woulda matched Nemo up against any fish in the aquarium world :boxer: & he'd have taken it on & woulda won too I reckon. :winner: He's still my fav lil guy!!

Mate that flameback is a ball tearer :)

edit - just occured that some may not understand....that flameback is awesome :laugh:

Really though...that is one of the largest, nicest calvus I have ever seen in pics or real life....y'all have to see this fish it person....

I'm just glad I've still got the two F1 fry from that first spawn....

My male f.rostratus...his awesome! got him just on the weekend to go with my females.

He looks huge!!! How big is he?

his about 25cm long, ironically two of the females are a little bigger then him! his not fully grown though...when i get him in the custom tank i expect him to get up to 16-17" long.

Very impressive specimen!

hahaha, well these guys are the only africans i have so i guess they are my favorites.:D
