WOOO! I FINALLY GOT ONE! I got a 5" tire track eel the other day from a new fish store my uncle showed me...*that place was AMAZING!!* I happened to find a whole tank of them $5 each. I had to get him. I'm keeping him in my fry tank *at least I know he won't eat the fry* and is heavily feeding on blackworms. He is really really cute but very shy.

woah you put him in with the fry? I had a spiny eel that i know would have found that to be a feast. I would keep an eye on your fry. Nice eel by the way, always a fan.

The fry are large now...much larger then his mouth. I haven't lost one fry yet....not even the smallest.

I have one and love it. Be warned they are tank jumpers. Mine is about 22 inches right now. It doesn't eat anything but night crawlers. Kind of sucks but what do ya do. Here are a couple photo's.


It's been known to come out and snatch a feeder here and there.

I hate eels, I have three peacocks that never eat and are rarely seen. One came out yesterday for the first time in months :lol:
