And should they be male and female to breed i guess yes but just asking to have more information from professional guys. want to know with what type of fish can i add the betta golden ....
Thank You
The ones with the really long fins are Males, the ones with the short fins are females..
You can either keep 1 male with other fish or several females together, but you can not keep 2 males together and you can not keep a male and female together. The male will kill the female. When breeding bettas you can only put the male and female together for a short period of time and there are several steps that you must take before you can breed them. You need to do a lot of research before you even consider breeding bettas. I have been keeping fish for over 30 years and I would not attempt to breed bettas.
Please read through the topics in this section, they will give you a lot of information on bettas. Bettas are a very touchy fish to keep and are very labor intence if kept properly and healthy.
Bettas and goldfish are not compatable, goldfish are very dirty fish, they produce a lot of waste which causes poor water quality and they prefer cold water.
Bettas are very sensitive to water quality and require warm water.
There may also be an issue with the goldfish going after the betta's fins or vice versa, it depends on the personality of the individual fish.
I hope this helps.
