I have some old 5 gallon tanks that use incandescent lighting. I have replaced the 10 watt bulbs with 7 watt Flourescent spring bulbs equalling 60 watts. Let me say it was with excellent results, especially in my Aquatech/Eclipse 5 Gallon hex tank. Not sure what *K they are but my plants have no problems with them and like to outgrow the tank frequently. Also, these bulbs can usually be found on sale for about two dollars a piece. Anyone else have similar results?
