I went to petco today for a snail of all things, while I was there I found captive bred cardinals. I didnt even know they existed. after I brought them home I started reading more about them and found out that some captive fish are bred, however they are so pale they are barely recognizable as cardinals. well these are beautiful and brightly colored. apparantly since they are captive bred, they arent as delicate or picky about feeding.they should be very easy to take care of, from what I have read, they should be fine at 7.0 ph with maybe just a little softning of the water. the guy at the store said they never had them before and may never again.I think I will go and buy A few more tomorow.
Do you mean cardinal tetras? Or is there a cardinal cichlid...?
There is no cichlid known as the cardinal cichlid. This should be moved to the Cyprinid & Charachins section. jay
