10th February 2006

Got a new pump to replace the one in the 5ft trickle filter - it's great! Ehiem 1000. EXCELLENT. It's silent.

14th February 2006

Got 4 blue rams. :D I wanted 2 boys 2 girls, but got 4 boys.

17th February 2006

Set up my pond today!

Here's some shots of my pond. No fish in it yet, but it will have 3 shnubkin goldies, 10ish white cloud minnows and 7 hillstream loaches, when the time comes. (It's about 50 gallons give or take.)

We still need to work out a better way for how the plants are... The big papyrus kept blowing over. So it's all bricked up.

27th February 2006

Got 4 ghost shrimp (2 for pond and 2 for a fish bowl). However, the ones in the bowl died (and so, too, I assume, the ones in the pond). I tested the ammonia to try to find the source, and had wowsomely high figures. I also had high figures in the fry tank. I found that old terracotta pots were the source.
