27th February 2006Got 4 ghost shrimp (2 for pond and 2 for a fish bowl). However, the ones in the bowl died (and so, too, I assume, the ones in the pond). I tested the ammonia to try to find the source, and had wowsomely high figures. I also had high figures in the fry tank. I found that old terracotta pots were the source.
:( RIP:

6th March 2006Well, not sure on exact dates, but by this date I had 50 bristlenose fry captured from my 5ft, sitting in a guppy tank waiting to be moved to the fry tank. There were 50 more in the 'main tank'.
7th March 2006 ishThe one bristlenose fry ("Survivor") moved from fry tank to 3ft tank. (This fry survived ammonia levels of 6.1+.)
8th March 2006Bristlenose fry moved from 5ft tank to fry tank. Here are some pics of the fry. ^_^
They're about 1 week out of the cave.

In the guppy tank in the 5ft, waiting to move to the fry tank.

I like the composition of this pic, even though it's out of focus for the most part.

They're eating shrimp pellets. They LOVE them. They never last long.

Ruler along the front shows that they're each about 1cm long from nose to tail tip.

In the fry tank - waiting for release.

They're much easier to count in a picture! I count 48. There are still more in the 5ft.

Poor picture of one of the babies.
10th March 2006I had a bronze corydoras in my 3ft died. :(
11th March 2006Two more bronze corydoras died.
