Title: Need opinions on what to do here
Description: My mind has shut down.

Ok so my 29 gallon X-high, I added some plants. I'm kinda iffy on placement. I think the way it looks now is OK but it could be better. I also think I need duplicates of some plants and less of others. I'll start with the upper terrace. I have Rotala in the background, with baby tears in front of that and corkscrew vals. Not sure if I should keep the small piece of driftwood there or not. It kinda looks akward everywhere else. The lower terrace consists of hornwart with hedge on the left and cabomba on the right. I am trying to grow a java sword in the center front of the low lying area that was a baby offshoot of a plant I have in my other tank.
Like I said, the picture in my mind and the actual result went a bit askew. I like the Rotala where it is, I think I want to add more baby tears in front of it. I thought the Vals would look better, but they almost seem out of place. Meanwhile the hedge that I thought would look out of place, seems to neaten up the hornwart. Same as the Cabomba on the far right side.. but still lacks something. I think the java Sword will look good in the low lying front portion if it grows. I may grow it out in a smaller tank and get an adult one. thanks in advance for any recommendations.

Looks pretty good to me, what kind of livestock do/will you have in there? Are you expecting to have fry?

Right now there are 11 Rummynose tetras, 5 Head and tail tetras, 2 female bettas, 1 male betta, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 texas cichlid, 1 grey leprechaun pleco, and a polkadot loach. No fry as of yet, but they may have been appatizers for the other fish if there was.

You may run into issues with the Bettas, I would suggest that you plant densly to give the girls someplace to hide.

The Bettas seem happy together. The one female is like twice the size of the male and if he tries to nip her, she nips back. I am having problems with the one firemouth trying to show supremacy of terretory. He will charge the females if close enough and stand-off with the male. That will end when I put him in the 75 gallon tank with the other cichlids. Hiding spaces are plentiful with the large loose rock formations. Not to mention the large tube cave under the terrace.
