Depends on what you wanna do, as in a fully planted tank you should easily be able to handle anubias, crypts, java ferns and moss and hygrophillia they all do well in low light.

java moss, java fern, any crypt, some swords (if you don't mind them being light green ( depending on the type) mine actually flowers in 1.3 WPG) anubias, and i grow horn wort (it grows really fast in my 1 wpg) but it also depends on what you are looking to do. so if you need more information i am willing to give you a better plant list (I.E exact lighting needs size ect.)

I have a 55gal that I want to do some rock formations, driftwood and heavliy plant about 1/4 to 1/2 of it, with a few plants mixed into the rockwork. I want some that emerge from the water. I don't have the lighting set-up yet and I'm not sure exactly what or how I'm going to do it. About all I do know is that it will be a DIY job, probably suspended above the tank. I do know that I will need some java fern or moss for fry hideouts. I'm going to try to get some of the bamboo that is growing outside to grow in the tank.

i don't think bamboo will grow in an aquarium will it??

ok, so, no java fern or moss. ok, so a good drift wood plant IMHO would be
an Anubias of all most any kind. you could try moneywort for inbetween the rocks, or any other stem plant ( but you might need some higher lighting for stem plants)and may be dwarf hair grass, for the one sticking out of the water. ( i beleive if you have the right setup they will flower once theyget out of the water, but i could be wrong.) sorry for this but try looking arround in here at the plant list they have a list of plantswith pictures to match and comments, truly a great list of plants.i use to belong to there fourm untill a saw your great forum :D

i will post some more later sorry.
