Any one else noticed the similarities betwen C. afra "mbweca" and P. dakarti? I've also noticed variations in what is sold in the trade as "mbweca" in some, there is a noticable black/grey banding around in the face...in mine (and other's I have seen) there is no dark banding...also, the picture from African Cichlid Trading company of the WC fish in someone's hand, on a boat (you can see it in the species profile for Mbweca here) bears little resemblance to anything I've seen in the trade sold as "mbweca"....

Has Tawill or Konigs or any of the others ever written formally on this "species"?

Here's some pics of the fish sold as C. afra "Mbweca" after he "grew up"...I ended up selling him when I tore down my Mbuna tank (the female that's in the gallery prophile jumped :( )
