Title: New fantail goldfish!
Description: For my pond.

Leema - March 16, 2006 04:35 AM (GMT)
Today I went to get white cloud minnows for my pond, and I thought I'd consider getting goldfish for the pond at the same time... I had narrowed it down to fantails or orandas...

I fell in love with the fantails there. :) So they came home, too. ;) Here's some piccies for you. No names, at least right now... Maybe I'll name them.

The one with the red dot on his head, the 'red dot' is actually raised a bit - so he's probably an oranda mix?
Do you think the orange one looks a bit pearlscaley? :? I didn't notice in the store.

Cool fish! Fantails are cool to watch and are fairly smart too.

First thought, "Hey white clouds in a pond = free food!" ;)

Now seriously how do the goldfish and white clouds get on? Would the gold fish consume the WC young?

Sorry guys - missed the replies to this. :)

If the WCs were to spawn, I'm sure the danios and the fantails would eat any young they can. At the same time, my pond plants have roots going everywhere, so it's possible that any sensible young which hide won't be eaten. I'd love for young to survive, but I'm not too bothered. :)
