Title: Eel Compatibility?

ShadowElite951 - March 22, 2006 04:10 AM (GMT)
Can I put a Peacock Eel with a Tiretrack Eel? Or are Tiretracks more aggresive?

Just curious... :dunno:

Tire tracks are going to get bigger, and be more predatory than the peacock....so no, I wouldn't recomend it....It would probably be fine in the short term but probably not the long term...

Agreed. shortterm, yes, longterm no, he would (peacock) would probably get eaten. Ive never had any aggretion shown between peacocks though. They are cool together if you have the room.

I keep a 16"ish tyretrack eel with my 10"ish fire eel with no problems. 90% of the answer depends on the size tank, and the decor within the tank. If theres plenty of retreats and hiding places fo both the eels.
