Hey all

We just bought our first betta last Sunday night. He's simply named Fishy :). We put him in a 1.77gal tank after we bought him, with two plants and some rocks. Today we bought him a 10 gal tank, and some friends. Two neon tetras, five zebra danios, and one ivory snail. They all seem to be getting along great. Fishy LOVES exploring his new tank. We also picked up some freeze-dried bloodworms and brine shrimp.

Its not my first time with a betta, my mom "won" a wedding centerpiece which had a betta in a vase with some lilys. He lived for about 2.5 years, when we moved 600 miles away, I think the stress of the car ride killed him, he only lived a day or two after arriving. My mom has another at her desk at work now. I think they're beautiful fish and always wanted my own. Rob & I had been talking about getting a betta for a few months now, and finally got Fishy.
