Title: How spoiled is your pet?

dtroup2 - March 28, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
I know that a lot of people spoil their pets, I'm guilty, I admit it.
My dog Dude is just like one of my kids. He expects leftovers from the fridge to be microwaved before he will eat them :pft: and on burrito night he gets his own, he will not eat it without cheese and if you give it to him whole he will just look at it until you cut it up for him.
And, as if that wasn't enough, he has a pet Guinea pig.

So, how do you spoil your pets?

I find it hard to decide if I'm spoiling my dog, or am just doing what I think any reasonable dog owner will do... I think he might be spoilt, but not in the food sense, but having toys, his 'privledges'. :P On the couch, sitting at the table, sleeping in my bed, etc...

Probably. ;)

My dog Dozer is a Blue Heeler - he's supposed to be out in a paddock rounding up sheep  . But nooooo...he is more like a large lap dog. He sleeps inside on my eldest sons bed at night. Get's treated like a 4th child and is loved more then he will ever know. Here is a pic of Dozer on a cold winters night...

Our dog is really spoiled too. she gets the leftovers from supper and anything the kids might sneak to her. she thinks she has to sleep in the bed next to someone when we let her stay in. She is like another kid. I just spent like $20 bucks just to get her a Harley Davidson leash and collar. My cousin said she was too spoiled because I spent that much on her. Oh well, she is mine to spoil so why not.

 how cute!
My baby Sires is one in a million his a low maintenance male! he will eat anything that I give him – not fussy at all!
He has a big futon bed with a dooner to sleep on.
I cook his food daily with vegies etc….
But apart from that I give him all my love but I don’t do anything special, like cover him up for bed, or any special food requirements. I see him as a big toughie and I don’t want to soften him up

Leo
-Can eat 5 cans of catfood a day, only gets 3
-Sleeps anywhere in the house
-Goes outside when he wants
-Shows no affection to any of our family---unless he is hungry (luckily he is usually hungry)

He turns a year old on april 12 (maybe 13) and he has already outgrown our other cat (mean old female) He has attacked her around 5 times, probably more, so it is only a matter of months before he becomes the dominant cat.
Somehow, despite his heavy eating habits he has remained very slim, and EXTREMELY lazy. His favorite spot to pass out is on top of the counter where the dishwasher is because that is where he eats, and it gets warm in that spot
Did I mention that he will only eat sliced food? He won't touch the single brick like chunks :(

Edit: I forgot to mention, this picture is from a couple months ago, he is a lot larger and less kitten like now :)
