Title: Bio Spira
Description: Does it work?
dtroup2 - April 14, 2006 04:14 AM (GMT)
I just read about a product that is supposed to cycle a tank quickly.
Bio Spira, does anyone know exactly if and how it works?
I'm thinking about possibly using somthing like this for my 55 gal if it works.
Any opinions?

Yeah its another product that speeds up the cycle on new tanks, it does sound good though i would consider using it if i was setting up again.
Here's some good info on bio spira

If you buy it, make sure of the date of expiration and that it is kept refrigerated, or it won't be any good. When you use it you need to add part of your fish right away to keep it going or it will just die out on you.

Wouls 3 little kuhli loaches work to keep it going in a 55g? I can get them locally for under $2 ea.
I want to wait for anything that might munch fry until after I get my endlers established, and I still have to order them.
I'm hoping to get some class N's from 2 or more people at ERU, it may have to be order from person 1 this month and person 2 next but I'll get diversity eventually! jay

I don't think that 3 would be enough in a 55 gal. You might add those and a few cories to help til you get the endlers.
I haven't been able to get on ERU for awhile now, computer problems, Too bad you didn't live closer to me I could just give you some. I have over 300 right now.
Heres a pic of some of them.

WOW how many tanks do you have them in?
I'm still in the prep stage of the tank. I did get some of the sandstone yesterday :woo: I still have to get the stand up and everything that follows that.

I've only got them in one 75 gal at the moment. Need to add another big tank soon.
