I keep oddballs because I got bored with normal fish. Give me a neon, I'll feed it to my gudgeon, give me a gudgeon, I'll treat it like a king :P
Oddballs are so interesting and different, but so many people avoid them because they make the generalization that all oddballs are predatory beasts. Oddballs are just a mismatched group of different fish families that are much smaller than the more common families.
I like the gobidae family above all. Gobies and gudgeons, that is. I do keep others though.
Rigfht now, my list contains
6 Mogurnda gudgeons
2 Goo obo gudgeons (The rest are in my father's tank)
1 candy stripe goby
2 Senegal bichirs
5 Killis (Fundulopanchax Gardneri or similar)
1 Golden wonder killi
1 African butterfly fish
1 African brown knife
1 Peacock eel
So, what oddities do you all keep, and why? :)

I have always been interested in the more oddball fish and these are all my favourites so my collection is as complete as it can be

Albino Black sharks
Purple spotted goby
Water cow (Eleotris Vittata)
Largemouth bagrid
Labeobarbus leptocheila
Osteochilus hasseltii
Osteochilus wandersii
