Well I've made a decision which most parents or adults would slap their children for doing...

I tried a year of college for the Fine Arts here in Barrie where I live... And I was driven up the wall, there's no way I'll finish my 3 year program and NOT go nuts with drawing NAKED 67 year old women... That's just scary

So i've come up with a new game plan.

I will be working my ass off for the summer and then some and If i gain enough money to allow myself a few months where ever I want to be, I will be moving to australia for 3 months.

I'm sick and tired of canada and the freaking cold as ever winters plus I've finally found someone who wants to travel with me and I would love to be with!!

Im also going to be taking an english course for Teching English Overseas.... which will give me the credits and certifications to teach wherever I'm sent to..

Which i honestly can't wait for.. I will have the opportunity to teach in Veitnam, africa, china.. EVERYWHERE!!!!

:bitchslap: :laugh: As long as you are over 18 and financing it yourself I don't see any problems with it. In fact it sounds like a lot of fun and a great experience!
Who is going to take care of your tanks while you are gone?
So it's going to be Oct, Nov, and Dec? I'd go Dec, Jan, and Feb when it's really cold. Remember that during our winter it is summer over there, and it gets hot.

You can always go back at a later time, maybe when they get some younger women to draw :lmao:
It's cool that you are getting the teaching cretification, It will come in handy, do you speak any foreign languages?

Oh no, I fully realise that your summer is my winter (try minus 40) and i HATE THE COLD... and your winters get what a measly minimum of 20 degrees celcius? lol

I desperately need a change of scenery... plus I want this experience to be the part where I meet the Aussie section of this Forum ;)

As for the education deal, I'll for sure go back, I just havent found where my strengths are. I know I want to go into teaching overseas like i mentioned before, and that course can be anywhere from a week to 5 years so my options are OPEN!!!!





Oh and for my tanks... I broke down my 20 gallon with my two clownfish and other critters in it and moved everything into my big tank which my mum already maintains and looks after. I know she'll be okay looking after it. So I just have my one 35 gallon tank and its looking awesome... except for the small container with my two stupid damsels in it :cuss: they ate one of my adorable maroon clowns

V, I'm in Minnesota, USA, I know all about winter, just a couple hundred miles from here Hell freezes over every year, Hell MN :laugh:

I just thought I'd remind you that the Aussies are:cuss: about the heat while we freeze our buts off. :laugh:

It's warmer than Canada though! :P Going overseas to teach, or learn, is awsome, and an opportunity no parents in their right mind would let their daughter miss out on. Besides, your nearly 20, what can they do to stop you! :P

Sometimes parents have "ways" of getting you to do stuff even after the law says you are an adult. :laugh: :whistle:
I can still get my daughter to do or not do things, She turned 19 today and lives 1500 miles away. :laugh:

I'm also thinking of California around the Mojave Desert area... its no less than 10 degrees in the winter (the odd time it does get cooler) and the summers are unbearable ;)

Hubby says that you don't want to go to the Mojave, he used to live there and says that it sucks! PLUS they have earthquakes!

You could check out New Mexico, very pretty with a lot to choose from. Desert, lakes, mountians, lots of stuff to sketch. Good fishing!
